Matthew has been serving as the Senior Pastor of FBC Whitwell since September 6, 2020. He is originally from Summerville, GA and is a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (B.S.) and received his M.Div from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry through SEBTS. Matthew has been married to his wife Kendele since 2020, and they have a daughter. In his spare time Matthew enjoys trying out new restaurants, traveling, and cheering on his two favorite teams, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves.
Allison has served as our Minister of Music and Students since September 2, 2002. She and her husband, Roger were married in October of 2018. Allison also teaches Music and Theatre at our local high school. Her passion is to reach the lost of our community as well as lead believers to the throne of Christ, worshipping in Spirit and in Truth. "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer!" Psalm 19:14
Barbara has been a member of FBC Whitwell since July 2000 and has been the church Administrative Assistant/Clerk since February 2019. For 31 years, she worked for the USDA/FSA until she retired. Barbara is an invaluable member of our ministry team and helps our church function in a variety of ways.
