In our Kids Ministry, our mission is to help kids find their way to God, connect with others, and contribute to changing the world. We believe that kids have the capacity to walk intimately with God, and we love to see them learn about Him and connect with Him through Bible stories, songs, and crafts.

Wednesday After‑School Ministries Are Back!
First Baptist Church Whitwell is thrilled to welcome children and students back to our Wednesday evening after‑school ministries — a program designed to help kids grow in faith, build friendships, and enjoy a positive, encouraging environment each week.
What We Offer
Our mid‑week ministry provides a meaningful blend of fun, learning, and care:
🚐 Van pickup from Whitwell schools
🍽️ A warm, after‑school meal
🎉 Recreation and fellowship time
📖 Age‑group Bible studies using Lifeway’s Team Kid curriculum — a trusted, Christ‑centered program that helps kids learn Scripture, develop character, and grow spiritually in a way that’s engaging and age‑appropriate.
It’s a safe, welcoming place where kids can unwind, be encouraged, and discover God’s love in a hands‑on, memorable way.

- Meal Providers - A meal sign‑up sheet is located in the hallway behind the sanctuary. Please plan to serve 25 people and have meals ready by 4:30 PM.
- Teachers & Support Volunteers - We’re also looking for caring adults to help teach, guide, and support our young learners. Whether you enjoy leading lessons or simply being an encouraging presence, your involvement helps shape the next generation of disciples.

WHO'S INVOLVED?
At FBC Whitwell, we’re passionate about providing a safe and welcoming environment where children—from birth through 5th grade—can encounter the love of Jesus, grow in God’s Word, and discover what it means to live on mission.
The nursery is open during our Sunday morning worship service for our youngest children in order to provide a caring and secure environment.
Your child’s safety is our priority. All volunteers undergo annual background checks and complete child safety training through Protect My Ministry to ensure a secure and caring atmosphere.
CHILDREN ARE A HERITAGE FROM THE LORD, OFFSPRING A REWARD FROM HIM. LIKE ARROWS IN THE HANDS OF A WARRIOR ARE CHILDREN BORN IN ONE’S YOUTH. BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOSE QUIVER IS FULL OF THEM. THEY WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME WHEN THEY CONTEND WITH THEIR OPPONENTS IN COURT.
